The Royal Mail is to increase by four per cent prices for its International Sorted service, plus a swingeing maximum hike of 30% in the cost of its direct entry facility.

Adding insult to injury, the virtual monopoly has told business customers that the customary three months notification of tariff changes is to be reduced to one month, citing as its reason [without a trace of irony] "the increasingly competitive environment".
