Essen-headquartered energy supplier RWE – one of the several major players to have emerged since the liberalization of Germany’s energy market – has put its Avanza energy account up for grabs and invited three German shops to compete for the estimated $25 million business.
Defending the business is incumbent agency Damm of Hamburg, rivalled by Hamburg-based Springer & Jacoby and the Frankfurt office of McCann-Erickson Worldwide.
BBDO Worldwide, Duesseldorf, which handles RWE's entire communications program – excluding Avanza – has not been invited to pitch.
