US-based online research specialist Jupiter Communications is to extend its Japanese offering this fall with research products translated into the local language. It also plans to launch its executive forums in the country.

Jupiter, which also has operations in London, San Francisco, Stockholm and Sydney, last month opened a Tokyo office and currently supplies its internet data in English only. From October, this will also be available in Japanese script, while a team of local analysts will conduct localised research on the e-conomy.

Jupiter Japan is headed by Masayuki Nagatake, a former VP-internet commerce analyst with Goldman Sachs & Co.
