London-based Cordiant Communications is to expand its global Bates advertising network with the acquisition of US marketing communications agency Donino, White & Partners for a maximum consideration of $30 million.

A specialist in brand marketing and strategic positioning in the technology sector, DWP will spearhead a new technology network: DWP/Bates Technology. The deal is expected to be completed this month.

According to Cordiant chief executive Michael Bungey: “DWP gives us the opportunity to build a leading practise within the Bates network in the rapidly growing technology sector.” He adds: "We continue to evaluate acquisition opportunities which support our strategic objectives and which will accelerate growth".
