Richard Watling assumes the mantle [or possibly kilt?] of marketing director for United Distillers & Vintners’ worldwide Scotch whisky business.

Former world marketing chief for the J&B scotch whisky brand, Watling will focus on UDV's global priority brands, among them Johnnie Walker Red and Black Labels, J&B and Bell's - as well as the traditional single malt whiskies.

Replacing him as J&B marketing director is Iain Kennedy, ex-Johnnie Walker global marketing director.
