Consumers are more likely to a buy a product from their building society or bank if they can do so from home, according to a survey by NOP Research for DMB&B Financial. Of 1,000 adults questioned, 51% said they would take out a personal loan from a bank whereas 32% would only consider their bank if they could buy direct. 27% said they would purchase PEPs from a bank, with 18% indicating they would do so only if it were possible by telephone.
