SEATTLE: Having this week finalized its $6 billion (€4.41bn; £2.98bn) acquisition of online ad specialist aQuantive - the largest in the software titan's history - Microsoft has reorganized its ad-focused business into three groups.
They comprise an Advertiser/Publisher Solutions Group plus two advertising sales groups - Online Services and Search and Ad-Platforms.
A/PS, which encompasses all of aQuantive's activities, will operate under the baton of former AQ ceo Brian McAndrews, while OS is led by Steve Berkowitz and SAP by Satya Nadella. All report to the president of Microsoft's online platform and services group, Kevin Johnson.
