CAMBRIDGE, UK: Search software firm Autonomy is to demerge and combine its consumer division with its video-search portal Blinkx and list it on London's Alternative Investment Market next month.

Blinkx, founded in 2004 by Suranga Chandratillake, allows users to search more than seven million hours of video, including user-generated content. In addition, Blinkx is partnered with 200 media businesses, including MTV and the New York Times, to enable searches of their video content.
