LONDON: Thirty-nine European creative directors from twenty nations convened in London last week to judge the 19th Eurobest Awards. Of the continent's crème-de-la-crème, the judges named TBWA\Paris as 'Agency of the Year'.

The Print Grand Prix went to DDB España in Madrid; while Scholz & Friends Berlin claimed the Outdoor garland and MJZ London won the TV/Cinema category. The Interactive Grand Prix went to Framfrab Denmark and BBDO Oslo took home the Radio Grand Prix.

A new award, Best Integrated Campaign was collared by 180 Amsterdam. Sadly, in another new category - Direct - no campaign was thought worth of recognition.

In all, 937 entries were shortlisted, of which a remarkable number - 225 (or 24%) - managed to collect a Eurobest award of one kind or another. [Least repressed ego?]
