NEW DELHI: The Indian capital awaits the appearance of a new daily newspaper following the announcement of a joint venture by HT Media, publisher of the Hindustan Times and the Times of India Group.
The new title is expected to launch in December in a climate of affluent consumerism, growing literacy, a robust economy and increasing competition for advertising revenue.
Says Vinayak Purohit, HT Media's cfo: "It will be a lighter paper like the Mumbai Mirror in terms of content. We will disclose the color, size and branding closer to the time of launch."
