NEW YORK: US telco Verizon Communications' plan to develop a nationwide fiber-based TV network is forecast to become *EBITDA-positive in the 2008 financial year.
By the end of 2010 the new network will be accessible by eighteen million premises, integrating DVR services with internet content and enabling customers to watch any online video via their TV set.
The company also expects the network to deliver savings of approximately $1 billion (€787.5m; £530.1m) in annual operating expenses.
