NEW YORK: News Corporation's internet units, among them the recently acquired MySpace.com, are to launch a new web service selling Fox films and TV content on a download-to-own basis.
As of October, the service will tout new feature films such as X-Men: The Last Stand at $19.99 (€15.67; £10.55); also TV series such as 24 for $1.99 per episode.
Says Fox Entertainment Group president of digital media Peter Levinsohn: "Our drive to deliver Twentieth Century Fox content via the most powerful online platforms is advanced substantially by this agreement."
