A GROUND-BREAKING new delivery guarantee is on offer from fledgling mail order specialist Premium Petcare, founded last May, and its newly appointed carrier Parcelforce - free goods if the company fails to deliver within 48-hours of customers' placing their order. The only stipulations are that the order must be placed before mid-day and that the goods are in stock. The scheme came into effect on 1 January and, says PP managing director Charles Fallon: 'We want to set standards in customer service. It's all about building confidence.' Parcelforce is achieving 98% of all deliveries for PP on the day following placing of the order and, according to Fallon, 'no-one had even asked [Parcelforce] about the possibility of guarantees before'.
