LONDON - UK telecoms giant BT is offering a new internet service branded Total Broadband, as it struggles to fend-off competition for residential customers.
The new venture will bring together several broadband products, including video on demand, internet calls and video phones, together with faster download speeds of up to 8Mb.
BT said earlier this month it had lost more than half a million retail customers to rival operators, while retailer Carphone Warehouse said it had signed 340,000 users to its new broadband offering. [WAM: 13-Apr-06].
