LONDON - Struggling UK telco Cable & Wireless has given up the fight to grow its unloved residential broadband service, Bulldog, and will concentrate on serving the wholesale ADSL market.
It will compete against BT and is understood to be talking to several wholesale customers about selling white-label high speed connections.
Meantime, cellphone networks Vodafone and O2 have revealed intentions to move into fixed line broadband.
