US satellite radio company Sirius says it is extending its exclusive relationship with car giant Daimler Chrysler.
The deal, which includes all Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz vehicles as well as Freightliner trucks, ensures that the automaker fits Sirius radios until September 1, 2012.
The New York-headquartered broadcaster hopes the deal will add around 75,000 subscribers to its pay-radio service, which currently boasts 2.2 million customers.
Says Sirius ceo Mel Karmazin: "DaimlerChrysler has been a long-standing supporter of Sirius since we began broadcasting, and we share the same commitment to provide a quality experience."
