Household products and food giant Unilever has announced the imminent departure of its top US media executive.
Brad Simmons, who has been with the Anglo-Dutch company for nine years, was not available to comment and Unilever has been unable to confirm exactly when he will go.
But the company said the media planning operations Simmons has been responsible for will now be part of senior marketing officer Laura Klauberg's duties.
She was appointed to the new role last month, the first general marketing role that spans both food and home and personal care units for Unilever in North America.
He became Unilever's vp of media services in 1999 and in 2001 helped implement the North American portion of the company's global move to communications channel planning with WPP Group's MindShare, New York.
