Nick Miles and Hugh Morrison, respectively the former ceo and group managing director of financial PR giant Business Communications International, are to serve a writ on parent Cordiant Communications claiming unfair dismissal and breach of contract. This, according to reports, values their combined services at £5 million.
Currently on six months gardening leave after their acrimonious firing at a Cordiant board meeting last week [WAMN: 24-Jan-02], the duo were unwilling to discuss the matter or confirm their joint hiring of fashionable SW1 law firm Campbell Hooper.
The latter is best known for its recent high profile victory on behalf of actor David Soul against a Mirror hack who penned an unfavourable review of Soul’s performance in a play he had absent-mindedly failed even to attend.
