The Fox Family Channel – recently bought by Walt Disney Company [WAMN: 24-Jul-01] – will, it is thought, put its new moniker, ABC Family complete with a temporary logo on-air from November 10, before an official relaunch expected early next year.
However, changes to content, permanent graphics and other areas (including the workforce) have yet to be determined. A new programming schedule is anticipated, as well as job losses and replacement of staff. Until the relaunch, projects initiated before the Disney buy will be broadcast as planned.
