Dana Anderson – Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Mondelēz International
Dana is redefining the future of marketing through her wisdom, wit and will. As SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, she leads the teams responsible for Agency Relations, Brand Equity, Brand Strategy, Marketing Capabilities, Media and Digital. Dana was named SVP and CMO in September 2014. She was appointed to her previous position of SVP Marketing Communication and Strategy when Mondelēz International was created in 2012, having held the same role at Kraft Foods since 2009.
Ad Age calls Dana one of the "100 Most Influential Women in Advertising". She's also on the Forbes list of Top 50 CMOs and was named Advertising Women of New York's 2015 "Woman of the Year". She is a gifted and passionate speaker, sought out by the Cannes Festival of Creativity, the ANA, the 4As, Twitter and Facebook. Dana is on the board of the Association of National Advertisers, Off The Street Club and is a member of The Chicago Network.
Akin Akintola – Head of Global Innovation Networks, Nokia
Akin heads up Global Innovation Networks which is targeted at fostering innovation for Nokia through collaboration between business, social and science sectors. He engages established ecosystem players and connects them to potential ecosystem partners in unexplored industries and geographies. He also explores new locations where the next generation of technological innovation is likely to spawn. Akin has worked for Nokia for seven years in a variety of roles spanning procurement and business development. Prior to joining Nokia in 2010, he worked for Motorola.
Bill Cecil – Director, Silicon Valley Office, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company
Prior to joining State Farm, Bill held positions in a wide variety of industries, including co-founding several small businesses. While at State Farm, he has served in several leadership roles in California, Florida, and at State Farm's Corporate Offices in Illinois. He now serves as State Farm's Innovation Director for the Silicon Valley Office, leading the business scouting operation to identify emerging products, services, technologies, and business models. Bill has a degree in Business from California State University, Northridge, an Executive MBA from the University of Illinois, as well as numerous professional insurance designations.
Kieran Connell – Executive Producer, Microsoft HoloLens London
Kieran is responsible for delivering innovative Microsoft HoloLens experiences for large commercial clients that demonstrate how Mixed Reality can transform the future of their business. His career began at legendary British video game developer Rare in 1997 where he proceeded to ship a series of high-profile game titles for Nintendo and Xbox platforms. Since moving to Microsoft London in 2011, Kieran has continued to work with world-class artists, designers and engineers, focusing on showcase projects that are at the intersection of creativity and cutting-edge technology, including the BAFTA award-winning Kinect Sesame Street TV for Xbox and Paint 3D for Windows.
Kim Douglas – Managing Director & Vice President, Sapient Nitro & Razorfish South East Asia
Kim joined Sapient Nitro in London as managing director and moved to Singapore in 2012 to run the SEA operation (90 People and $20m+ revenue, with global clients such as Unilever, MetLife, AIG, Harley Davidson, Coke, Lane Crawford, Moët and Hennessy, Hyundai, and Citibank). Kim assumed responsibilities of Razorfish SEA in late 2015. He has over 18 years of experience in advertising, working for Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Leo Burnett, Publicis and Mindshare. Kim sits on the Singapore Government's Infocomm Media Masterplan steering committee and is also a member of the IAB and IAS.
Peter Espersen – Co-Founder and CEO, eVote
Peter is a digital innovator with more than 15 years' experience in entertainment and media. Earlier this year, he co-founded the New York based digital platform eVote, which enables users to create and share votes, survey and petitions. He spent two years at open innovation platform jovoto and more than five years as head of community co-creation at Lego where he built and managed the brand's co-creation and digital community. His career started in Denmark where he worked for OMD as a digital planner and emerging specialist, followed by a stint at TV2 and Habbo parent company Sulake.
Lucie Greene – Worldwide Director, The Innovation Group, J. Walter Thompson
Lucie is Worldwide Director of the Innovation Group, J. Walter Thompson's futures and innovation think tank. The unit publishes research throughout the year exploring emerging cultural shifts, consumer change, and innovation in lifestyle sectors. Reports have been featured in the New York Times, CNN, Bloomberg, Guardian, The Times, and Newsweek among others. She works with J. Walter Thompson's Fortune 500 clients and global lifestyle brands, on strategy and is also a thought leadership columnist for Campaign Live.
Layne Harris – Vice President, Innovation Technology, 360i
Layne leads the Innovation Lab at 360i and recently played an integral role in the creation of Adaptoys, the first adapted versions of popular toys that allow people with paralysis to engage in active play with their families. Layne started his career in tech working for traditional software giants such as Microsoft and Adobe in Seattle before moving to New York to start his advertising career. Layne's obsession for emerging tech has had a huge impact on his client work and he has quickly become an industry thought leader for both technology and marketing, and regularly provides expert commentary to business publications.
Will Harvey – Innovation Lead for VCCP Partnership
Will is responsible for driving digital thinking and inspiring innovative new ways for brands to engage with consumers, leveraging both emerging technology and tracking current trends. A former student at UK design school Ravensbourne, Will has previously worked for both Ogilvy and Apple. Will has worked on a wide range of campaigns and projects that look to find a happy merriment between brands, agencies and innovators. At VCCP, he is blending the world of Creativity and Technology to push the boundaries and challenge what's possible.
Roland Harwood – Co-founder and Managing Director, 100%Open
100%Open is the global open innovation agency that works with clients including LEGO, Ford, Unilever, UBS, Oxfam and Governments around the world to co-innovate with their partners. It was a spin-out from NESTA in 2010, the UK Innovation Agency and Investment Fund, where Roland was Director of Open Innovation. Graduating with a PhD in Physics from Edinburgh University, he has held senior innovation roles in the public and private sector. He has also worked with hundreds of start-ups to raise venture capital and commercialise technology.
Bruce Henderson – Chief Creative Officer, Jack Morton Worldwide
Bruce serves as chairman of the Jack Morton Global Creative Council and is responsible for the agency’s creative vision and output. Bruce joined Jack Morton from Geometry Global, where he served as Chief Creative Officer, NA. While there, the agency’s work was recognised at several global award festivals. Bruce spent nearly a decade at Ogilvy in NY, leading creative efforts for integrated global and US accounts including Siemens and DuPont. He started his career at Agency.com. Bruce is a frequent speaker and a published author, and has served as a jury member for the Effie and Clio Awards.
Will Higham – Behavioural Futurist, Founder, Next Big Thing
Will's mission is to help brands monetise new consumer trends by identifying the real opportunities (and threats) each new trend presents. Clients range across FMCG (Budweiser to Sainsbury's), finance (RBS to HSBC), technology (AOL to Telefonica), leisure (Thomas Cook to Virgin Trains), media (BBC to News UK) and music (Universal Music to MTV). He wrote 'The Next Big Thing: Forecasting Consumer Trends For Profit' (Kogan Page, 2009) and has spoken at and chaired events for brands, media and industry bodies. Will started in the entertainment industry, running marketing campaigns at Sony, Virgin and Universal, and later ran online research agency OnePoll.
Natasha Jakubowski – Managing Partner, Head of Innovation, Anomaly New York
Natasha has been at the forefront of introducing brand strategy into the world of innovation, helping clients create new brands and products, re-imagine white space opportunities, and re-orientate their businesses for a new world. At Anomaly she has enjoyed helping clients to think differently from the norm across every category and challenge imaginable. Prior to Anomaly, Natasha was a Strategic Director at Redscout, Innovation Consultancy, and learnt her trade as a strategist at communications agencies in both New York and London.
Marley Kaplan – Innovation Specialist
As an Innovation Specialist and a columnist for Inc.com's Innovate channel, Marley is passionate about technology and the impact it has on human communication, consumer behaviour and the media landscape. Leading innovation strategy across Fortune 500 brands, Marley shares insights to various publications and panels. In addition to Inc.com, Marley has contributed to Advertising Week NY, Campaign US, WPP's The Wire and more. In 2014, AlleyWatch named Marley one of the '21 People to Watch in Wearables' for her consulting work with Intel. Marley is an active Techstars Mobility mentor and has served on the IAB Mobile Task Force.
Andrew Lambert – Vice President, Consumer Marketing, Visa Asia Pacific
Andrew leads the hub consumer marketing team for Visa in Singapore, working with country teams on the implementation of marketing activities in countries around the Asia Pacific region. With the rapid change in the payment landscape in recent years, these activities are increasingly focused around innovation and the opportunities to bring new digital payment products and technologies to market, engaging with consumers and other stakeholders in new and different ways. Andrew started his career in advertising in London and has been based in Asia for the last 20 years, much of it with Visa, with regional responsibilities for brand, product, sponsorship and digital activations.
Michael Lieberman – Chief Strategy Officer, Kinetic North America
Michael is responsible for accelerating the overall growth and client service agenda and is tasked with accelerating the evolution of Kinetic North America's core offering to better reflect today's integrated, cross-media environment. Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Kinetic's parent company, tenthavenue, in North America. Under his leadership, tenthavenue grew and won awards including IAB MIXX and Shopper Marketing Effies. In addition to working alongside Kinetic, Lieberman supported companies including Bookmark, Candyspace, TMARC and Spafax in North America. Prior to tenthavenue, Lieberman was the North America CEO of Joule, WPP's mobile agency. He has been an active member of many industry bodies.
Nurcin Erdogan Loeffler – Head of Strategy & Innovation, Vizeum China
Over the last 13 years, Nurcin has worked in Fortune 500 companies, focusing on forming new perspectives to approach business challenges with a blend of innovation and analytics. She worked on product and marketing innovations at the global marketing team for Red Bull, after leading the brand marketing team at Red Bull in Turkey. Previously she worked at L'Oréal and British American Tobacco to build game-changing strategies. In the last two years in China, she moved agency -ide and took several roles within the Dentsu Aegis Network, where she fuses her brand expertise with insights about China.
Dave McCaughan – Thought Leader & Storyteller, Bibliosexual
Dave's consultancy, Bibliosexual, aims to understand the interaction of people and media with brands and stories. Dave also became a partner in the AI Agency, a new consultancy that launched in August 2016, which uses artificial intelligence platforms and other virtual tools to provide insight/content/people solutions to marketers. Dave, who is currently based in Bangkok, spent three decades working across Asia in leading strategy and senior management roles with McCann. He has worked for clients including Cathay Pacific, Coca-Cola, General Motors, Hitachi, Johnson & Johnson, L'Oréal, MasterCard and Nestlé. A regular industry commentator, Dave is a board member and contributor for ESOMAR's Research World.
Mike Medeiros – SVP, Executive Strategy Director, McCann NY
As SVP, Executive Strategy Director, Mike has led strategy for McCann New York since 2012, providing strategic leadership for key clients including US Army, United States Postal Service, American Airlines, Lockheed Martin and The New York Lottery. Over the past 18 years, Mike has asked millions of questions to satisfy his natural curiosity and develop insightful strategies across a range of categories, including telecommunications, beverages, confectionery, hotels, and rental cars. Prior to McCann, Mike worked at Deutsch, Publicis-Seattle and JWT, leading strategy for brands like Tanqueray, Snapple, Cadbury, T-Mobile and Westin and Sheraton Hotels. He led strategy on Lipton, Brawny, Hertz, Seasonique and Exxon Mobil.
Felix Morgan – Senior Planner and Innovation Lead, Livity
Felix is Senior Planner and Innovation Lead at youth marketing agency Livity. He has over seven years of experience advising blue chip clients like Sony, Unilever, Dyson, Netflix and Google on emerging behaviours, specialising in strategic innovation and youth marketing. He is an industry thought leader, having written for, among other publications, The Guardian, The Times and Campaign. He has won numerous awards for his work and is a regular speaker at events like Cannes Lions and SXSW.
Robin Nayak – Chief Strategy Officer, TBWA Singapore & South East Asia
Robin is an award-winning strategist, with more than 25 years of experience in developing brand, marketing and creative communications strategies for many of the world's leading corporations, including Visa, BMW, Adidas and Sony. He has been the global strategic leader for both Standard Chartered Bank and Singapore Airlines for ten years. Robin leads the group's consulting unit, is a member of the agency's management team in Singapore and has led the evolution of Disruption across South East Asia. Robin has been with TBWA for 18 years and has been based in Asia since moving from the UK in 1991.
Hugo Pinto – Innovation Services Leader EMEA, IBM Interactive Experience
Hugo works with business leaders and C-suite to help the largest organisations in the world in the journey of digital reinvention, leveraging Design Thinking, Technologies like Block-chain, Augmented Intelligence, IBM's Industry Expertise and ecosystem connections with some of the most disruptive startups in the world. He is also an active speaker and gets involved in mentoring startups at Wayra & The ODI.
Matt Prentis – Group Innovation Director, PHD Global Business
Matt joined PHD's Global Strategy Unit two years ago to work on their comms planning assignment for Unilever. Having recently been promoted to Group Innovation Director, he now leads the innovation team within the unit consulting Unilever's global brand and media community on their partnerships with the global media platforms, best practice asset and media planning for a connected world, alongside developing pilots for both emergent partners and new techniques in media that may help Unilever deliver disproportionately vs. their ongoing marketing and communications tasks. Having led the planning and activation of Knorr's recent #LoveAtFirstTaste campaign, which was awarded Gold in Warc's first ever Media Awards, he's well placed to judge this year's Warc Innovation Awards.
Frances Ralston-Good – CEO, Hearts & Science
Frances is responsible for Hearts & Science, OMG UK's data driven marketing agency. Before this, she was Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer for OMG UK group covering PHD, OMD, MGOMD, M2M and Rocket as well as specialist services such as Drum and Fuse. Developing solutions that meet new, existing or inarticulate needs through more effective products, services, technologies or ideas. Frances started her career in media as a planner / buyer in 1994 at TMBG and has run media accounts in the UK, a start up in Australia as MD of the creative/brand agency Naked; became MD of PHDUK 2011 and PHD's first ever Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer.
Lizzie Shupak – Head of Innovation, DigitasLBi
Lizzie's career has spanned the worlds of academia, startups, and digital innovation on both sides of the Atlantic. She joined DigitasLBi in 2012 in Business Strategy, quickly becoming the person who worked on briefs that no-one else knew quite what to do with. In 2013 she became the first full-time member of the global innovation team. She is currently a partner in Wok+Wine and founder of boutique illustration label, Lined by Lizzie. Lizzie won the IPA's inaugural Women of Tomorrow award for her strategic work in 2013.
