Chief Marketing Officer Conference Report: Delivering High Performance - Foresight, Insight and Execution

This year's CMO conference at the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute in Z├╝rich had an ambitious theme. Chaired by David Thorpe of the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing, the day's presentations and knowledge workshops explored the major challenges facing marketers charged with delivering high performance.

Each theme pushed traditional marketers out of their comfort zone by highlighting issues that, in many cases, would require re-thinking their role. Operating in the current business environment is made all the harder by the fact that the consumer and media landscapes are in a constant state of evolution. There are now few certainties - except that past ways of marketing are obsolete.
