"Go to your windows, open them, stick your head out and yell: 'I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this any more'."

This urgent advice to viewers from Peter Finch's newsreader in the 1976 film Network came to mind as Henry Tucker of The Futures Company presented a London Breakfast Briefing on the 'Global Enraged'.

This new consumer classification – which carries potentially serious implications for brands – emerged from analysis of data in the Global MONITOR survey from The Futures Company, presented at a briefing in London in October 2012.

According to Tucker, it reveals a widespread and growing anger around the world about the behaviour of governments and corporations.
