INTRODUCTION

In 2002 Compass Group plc decided to refresh their employee satisfaction measurement tool which is used to track the company strategy of being a preferred employer.

Compass Group partnered with BMRB International and their affiliated network Walker Information Global Network (WIGN) to introduce a measurement philosophy across the company that would focus the business on:

  • Retaining people who are loyal and don't feel inclined to look elsewhere;

  • Undertaking activities and practices necessary to attract and retain high calibre individuals;
