Faced with a seemingly insurmountable task – taking on the savings giant ING Direct, UBank and Three Drunk Monkeys created a big-brand campaign that enabled the virtually unknown banking-service to claim thought leadership of a new savings trend in Australia. The campaign propelled UBank from one of the smallest to the 12th largest deposit service in Australia – at a time when consumers were retreating to the safety of the ‘Big Four’ banks.
