OMD USA will handle PepsiCo’s $575 million national broadcast buying account, following the shift of several brands from Interpublic Group to the network's parent Omnicom Group last month [WAMN: 24-Sep-01].

OMD adds the Gatorade, Aquafina, Tropicana and Quaker Oats brands to its existing work for Pepsi soft drinks and Frito-Lay.

Talks between Omnicom and PepsiCo about forming a separate unit dedicated to the client’s brands were shelved, say sources.
