Cross-media deals between advertisers and media groups continue to be all the rage, with the news that Tricon Global Restaurants – owner of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC – has inked a $90 million (£63.8m) ad deal with Fox Broadcasting.

Emulating Procter & Gamble’s huge $300m deal with Viacom [WAMN: 31-May-01], Tricon will receive ad time across the NewsCorp-owned media firm’s primetime programs, syndicated shows and cable and sports networks.

Tricon commented that the deal represented an extension of its three-year-old policy of purchasing group ad space for its brands.
