Word on adland’s grapevine is that technology company Lucent has picked Mullen of Wenham, Massachusetts, as its first agency of record.

The agencies which lost out on the $20–$25 million microelectronics account were Boston’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopoulos, the New York office of DDB Worldwide and the Martin Agency in Richmond, Virginia.
