LONDON: Warc has today announced the full judging panel for the Warc Prize for Social Strategy.

The Prize, a global competition that is free to enter and carries a $10,000 prize fund, aims to find the best examples of social ideas that drive business results. The deadline for entries was recently extended to December 19th.

Judges announced today include executives from DigitasLBi, Edelman, Havas, Leo Burnett, McCann, Droga5, DDB, Dare, Microsoft, Mullen, Keller Fay, We Are Social, McKinney and Telstra.

Among them is Baba Shetty, who joined DigitasLBi as chief strategy and media officer earlier this year, having previously been CEO at Newsweek/The Daily Beast. His new role involves the oversight of media, content and social capabilities.

Also on the panel is Mick McCabe, chief strategy officer at Leo Burnett, who runs one of the largest planning departments in the US and is in charge of brands like Procter & Gamble, McDonald's and Samsung.

Rick Murray, another judge, heads up Edelman Chicago, and was previously global president of Edelman Digital.

Alistair Beattie, also on the panel, is head of strategy and innovation at DDB Europe, where he works on global brands such as Volkswagen, Unilever and Heineken.

John Mescall, who will also judge the Prize, is executive creative director at McCann Australia. He was recently named one of the top creatives in the world and is the man behind the multi-award-winning Dumb Ways to Die campaign for Melbourne's Metro Trains.

The full list of judges, chaired by Nestlé's Pete Blackshaw, can be found here.

The $10,000 Prize fund will be divided between a $5,000 Grand Prix for the world's best social strategy case study, plus five $1,000 Special Awards to the best examples of a long-term idea, use of analytics, channel strategy, effective use of a low-budget and a social business model.

In addition, there will be Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for the highest-scoring cases.

Winning entries will also be featured in Seriously Social 2014, Warc's annual report on effectiveness trends in social marketing.

The winner will be announced in March 2014. Further details, including the entry kit and tips on writing a great strategy case study, can be found on the Prize website, www.warc.com/socialprize.
