LONDON: Sony Ericsson has lost no time in naming a successor to global marketing chief Dee Dutta, who quit the company last week.

Stepping into Dutta's shoes is Lennard Hoornik, currently corporate vp and head of the cellphone maker's Asia Pacific division.

His appointment comes shortly after a warning that slowing sales of Sony Ericsson's mid-to-high-end handsets across Europe could hit 2008 profits.
