ALVISO, California: DVR pioneer TiVo has teamed with US retail information giant IRI to create the IRI TiVo Consumer Insights Suite which links DVR consumer viewing patterns with subsequent product sales.

It also promises to quantify the effectiveness of specific ad campaigns and brand recognition programs in TiVo households.
