LEEDS, UK - The US supermarket titan's British unit Asda has unveiled details of a major new advertising campaign after dropping its 'pocket the difference' strapline, used since the 1970s.
'More for you for less' is the latest attempt by the supermarket chain (which lags Tesco by a seemingly uncloseable gap) to emphasise that it is more than just a "low prices" retailer.
New TV ads will run from March 16 and cover Asda's milk-sourcing policy, as well as the authenticity of its Italian and Indian ranges. Also the instore services it provides.
The company's familiar 'hip pocket tap' will remain - but with "a contemporary slant".
