TOKYO - The rise and rise of Japanese automakers continues, Mazda Motor Corporation being the latest to post robust numbers.
    In its fiscal third quarter to December 31, group net profit rose to ¥10.2 billion ($867.1m; €727.4m; £496.8m) versus ¥7.4bn a year earlier. Sales increased year-on-year by 8% to ¥741.5bn, up from ¥685.6bn.
    The company, 33% owned by Ford, raised its esitmate for the full year to March 31, predicting ¥60bn profit, up on the previous year by 31%.
