In the wake of a membership crisis earlier this year, the trade body representing Germany's media planning and buying agencies, OMG (Organisation der Media-Agenturen Im GWA), has restructured and launched a programme of reforms.

Unhappy with the internal workings of OMG, senior member agencies began to withdraw from the body, led by Mediaedge:cia in May. The following month MediaCom and Aegis declared their intention to follow suit by the year end.

However, members have agreed an eight-point reformation plan and appointed three working groups to map a strategy. The role of chairman is to be scrapped in favour of a non-agency 'speaker' - who will serve alongside a new board to be elected at OMG's next members' meeting in March.

Aegis has confirmed it will continue its membership of OMG, although the other dissidents have yet declare their hand.
