In spite of its voluntary filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last week [WAMN: 23-Jan-02], retail chain Kmart plans to launch a new ad campaign next month.

The biggest retailer to go bankrupt in US history will break new ads in mid-February shot by Spike Lee and carrying the strapline ‘Kmart. For real life’. Handling the effort are New York’s TBWA/Chiat/Day and Don Coleman Advertising in Southfield, Michigan.
