Five shops have been shortlisted by financial services provider Prudential to handle its brand push this year – BMP, D’Arcy, WCRS, Publicis and TBWA.

The client is reviewing the account at the behest of new marketing director Roger Ramsden, who declared: “We need to reintroduce ourselves to new and existing customers in an exciting way.” Incumbent Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO declined to participate.

Although billings were not disclosed, Prudential’s UK and European ceo Mark Wood revealed in November that an extra £20 million of spend had been set aside for the last six months of 2002. The announcement of the winner is expected soon.
