The new millennium brought with it the country's largest class of approximately 77 million baby boomers, and along with them, an unprecedented demand for anti-aging products and services. Extended longevity and relative financial stability have given aging U.S. consumers the desire and the means to purchase cosmetics, nutritional supplements, and surgical procedures that promise to mask, stave off, or even reverse the effects of growing older.
