The immediate future for the global entertainment media sector looks bright – particularly for digital operators.

According to the latest edition of the World Association of Newspaper and News Publishers’ World Digital Media Trends 2010 report, total worldwide expenditure on entertainment and media is predicted to exceed $1.69 trillion by 2014 in 2009. Specifically, advertising is forecast to achieve just over 4% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2010 and 2014 with the worldwide advertising sector reaching just under $500bn in value by 2014.
