At the beginning of the 20th century the population in Mexico was 13.6 million people. During the first three decades the population was barely three million people, which meant that in 1930 the total population reached 16.6 million, equivalent to the population that currently lives in the states of Mexico, Sinaloa and Tlaxcala.
