Recently I happened to meet an architect who was completing a new company headquarters. I had never met an architect before so I asked him how he tackled such a project. He said he started with a brief from the client, then did the design work and got it approved. Next he out-sourced materials and production from contractors, who had to tender for the job, and then managed the project until the building was completed.
