Introduction

The product offering from Volvo is constantly improving and they now have a formidable line up of cars. The days of bread boxes on wheels and flat cap drivers are disappearing.

This evolution was given a kick start by the launch of the 850 T5 in 1994. At last, here was a car from Volvo with truly dynamic driving credentials that even had Jeremy Clarkson on the waiting list 

The accompanying advertising highlighted the car's performance to startling effect. Our TV screens were blasted...
