INTRODUCTION TO GUERNSEY

Guernsey is located in the Bay of St. Malo, approximately 30km from the Cherbourg Peninsula and around 130km from the south coast of England. Guernsey and its dependent islands; Alderney, Sark and Herm are collectively known as the 'Bailiwick of Guernsey'. Although this group of islands and Jersey, the other main 'Channel Island', are British, many traces remain of their ancient links with France.
