How navigation data can connect advertisers with consumers
One of Sara Hall's favorite case studies from her time at Waze involves a restaurant chain that had no idea its customers often dropped in to eat straight after completing a workout session at the gym.
But, thanks to data collected by the navigation app, the chain of eateries soon identified that the most common behavior of drivers before coming into its restaurants was pumping iron, pounding the treadmill or engaging in similarly impressive forms of physical exertion.
