Online advertising investment in Europe is poised to overtake TV within a year, and search alone is likely to surpass newspaper ad spend in the next 12 months, the latest AdEx figures from the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) show.

At the IAB's Interact 2015 conference held in Berlin in May 2015, it was revealed that online advertising grew 11.6 per cent in 2014, to €30.7 billion, across the 27 markets measured. The IAB Europe's annual AdExBenchmark study showed that online advertising spend had doubled in the past...
