In a paper presented to the Athens ESOMAR Media Research Seminar (Menneer, 1994), the question was raised as to whether it is possible to compare radio audience figures from one country to another across the traditional Western European countries. Can the figures be taken at face value? Do they reflect real differences between countries, or do the widely differing methodologies in how each country sets out to measure its radio audiences...
