Adstats: UK adspend forecast
Total UK adspend is predicted to rise by 5.5% in 2014 and by 6.5% in 2015, according to the latest data from the Advertising Association/Warc expenditure report. This means total adspend should exceed £20bn for the first time next year. Adspend totalled £17.9bn in 2013, following year-on-year growth of 3.9%. Within this, internet saw growth of 15.6%, supported by a significant increase for mobile (up 95% from 2012 to £1.0bn). By 2015, mobile is predicted to take a 33% share of total internet adspend.
