Total alcoholic drinks adspend amounted to US$6.1bn globally in 2013, according to data from Nielsen. This represents year-on-year growth of 3.8%, in line with the overall category global ad growth of 3.7%. Asia- Pacific accounted for the largest proportion of alcoholic beverage adspend on 39.1% (up 5.9%), while North America has recorded the fastest year-on-year growth at 7.9%.
