Mobile telecoms is one of India's hottest sectors. A large number of network operators, not to mention handset brands, are battling for share in a rapidly expanding market. There are three key market leaders in the sector– Bharti Airtel, Reliance Telecom and Vodafone. All three have taken steps to adapt their positioning and marketing strategy as the sector tries to evolve beyond brutal price-cutting and unsustainable business strategies.
