Each week, I go jogging. Jogging is something that was invented here in Auckland in the 1960s by New Zealand track coach Arthur Lydiard, who created the world's first jogger's club and was responsible for both the idea of running for recreation and the noun-ing of the verb 'jog'. Arthur's idea was that you would run in a leisurely way for a civilised sort of a distance and not make too big a deal of it.
