There were 3.2bn mobile broadband subscriptions worldwide in 2015, a figure that is expected to rise 13.1% to 3.6bn by end-2016. Of these, almost half (48.3%) will be in Asia-Pacific. Data from PageFair shows that there were 379m active mobile adblockers in the region at the latest count, with 159m in China and 122m in India. Separate data from Optimal shows that the adblock rate in these markets (via all internet devices) was 14.1% and 13.0%, respectively, last year.
