Imagine a world where significant numbers of major corporations are regularly overpaying for an important service, one that they rely on for driving their businesses forwards and which, moreover, is one of their largest variable costs.

Then imagine a world where most of these companies are unaware of whether they have received exactly what they ordered. Furthermore, the professional qualified auditors appointed to these companies to approve and sign off their accounts can only verify the monies paid, not whether the goods ordered have been received. This is the state of play in the television advertising market, which is a multi-billion-pound business in the UK .
